Chill Joy is a 3d on-rails shooter made in Unity made over the course of one semester. As one of the team’s two programmers, I was responsible for implementing several game mechanics according to designer specifications. Additionally, I acted as the team’s repository manager and was responsible for all version control related issues.
As a gameplay programmer, I was responsible for implementing many of the games core gameplay systems such as player movement, win/lose states, enemy AI, as well as several other systems.
Our team used git as our version control system. As the repository manager, I was primarily responsible for managing the repository by merging branches at least once a week so that our team could present a build with all of the most recent work. Additionally, I assisted teammates when they experienced troubles with managing git.
